Could you imagine a child being denied education? Well I to be can, and most kids in school would RATHER be denied education than go to school. In fact, 20% of kids genuinely considered dropping out. 73% of kids said they don't like school, and considering 63% say they don't like their teachers, to educate Syrian refugees, would mean they probably wouldn’t even enjoy it, which they should. Not only that, but it would cost millions of U.S. dollars every year! Which does not include the future generations and new Syrians coming over. Anyways, how good is the education? Most people say they use rarely anything after the 7th grade. Why do we need to teach refugees that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell? Will it really do us or them any good? Educating refugees will be too costly and won’t do them or our economy any good. Because the U.S. is already drowning in debt, throwing on millions more won't help. This would be okay if they were learning but they didn’t like it, but we are both NOT liking school and NOT learning. And considering that when you google “school makes me want to” and the auto-fill is nothing but “kill myself”, “cut” and “throw up”, meaning that school is also depressing kids! The way kids are being taught, is a way that makes kids remember something for a week, throw it up on the test, losing all the information to make room for the new batch of knowledge. This is not genuine learning, because genuine learning means you keep the info, not just get rid of it after the test. Considering that the percent of depressed people is around 6.85% and the percent of depressed college kids is 36.4%, really proves my point. So, how will teaching these refugees help them?
