A lot of students who plan on furthering their education in college plan on taking the SAT, which is a standardized test that marks where a student stands in what they learned from their core classes. There are many ways to prepare for the test, such as focusing and giving good effort in class, using practices on online websites, and taking practice tests. Although I have already taken the SAT this year, I plan on taking it again next year in my senior year all while implementing the strategies mentioned above to prepare. Paying attention in class should seem like a no-brainer; however, the difficult part is giving effort in all of one’s classes. Not only will information be retained, but it will be remembered, which is extremely important when taking a major test such as the SAT. I plan on increasing my efforts in the next school year in all my classes so that way I can be more prepared than ever to take the test. There are multiple ways to do so, such as taking better notes, working on the quality of my work, and asking questions when confused. The biggest contributor to this would be Khan Academy. Not only do they offer free classes and lessons on in school topics, but they also have practices aimed at preparing students for the SAT. These practices have test-formatted questions and implement the same test styles in them, such as calculator and no calculator lessons. By using this tool, I will be able to refresh my brain on the material that will be on the test and get stronger in my weaker areas. Not only this, but I will be able to see what my strengths and weaknesses are based on data collected from previous tests, such as my first time taking the SAT and the PSAT. All of this will further the preparation plan to better prepare for the test next school
