Over the course of the past few years, controversy pertaining to the taxation on feminine hygiene products has risen among the people in our country. Some say that these products should be taxed because of economic standpoints and others find that the taxes are a statement of inequality towards women in our society. As the arguments have grown to new heights, voices are intended to be heard. Almost every woman this tax affects, expects a change and should be gifted this alteration of tax lists. The world is now roaring through the year 2018, there have been so many advancements made for the female race, that there should not be a stall in moving forward. This situation is only a speed bump, and women’s strength and determination is a tire.

In the years before now, only few women had realized the problem that was conjuring in the United States. Now, 2018 has come and the majority of women in society are ready to see a change. One of the first actions society can take to aid the battle, is to find the best way to oppose the words of state Senators and legislators. If the people who find conflict with the taxes, find a way to be heard and have a reasonable argument, the tax gap is one step closer to being filled and made equal. Women can not fall victim to such discrimination. Common people might not have an excessive impact over government officials, but with a loud enough voice, their minds can be changed.
