Persuasive Essay On Underage Drinking

My controversial topic regarding underage drinking in Wisconsin can be broken down into four components of why I am against it. As you can tell by my introductory statement, underage adults should not be able to drink alcohol with their parents. My reasoning for this statement can be broken down into four statements. First, the basic biological anatomy of the brain of an underage child, does not fully develop until the age of 25. Based upon this fact, children if not college students, should avoid alcohol. It is my belief that there is nothing more offensive than an 18-year-old fraternity boy throwing up on my shoes because they have drinking with their parents at a football game. This childish behavior I think has to stop. Second, the social responsibility of parents teaching children responsible drinking habits is ignored in this state. Part of the "right of the passage" is the 21st birthday celebration in most cultures. There is nothing worse than going to the bar and asking for an alcoholic drink and noticing your friends 14-year- old son asking for one as well.
