Foreign laws along with federal, state, and local regulations, ordinances, and rules are becoming more and more stringent. Ashland continues to invest significantly in protecting the environment, however, there are several but being found liable for environmental damages could have a negative impact on Ashland. This is an opportunity for Ashland to demonstrate their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER). One of the most widely known companies for efficiency is Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC). TMC uses a 5-point Likert scale containing 27 questions. This questionnaire is collected from TMC’s marketing, sales, and logistics divisions across the globe. The statistics for TMC demonstrate the commitment for continued improvements (kaizen), respect, and teamwork. TMC has the philosophy that by developing the human resources, an organization can get the best from its employees.
