When my parents were younger they had a hard time in Mexico. They had to work everyday just to be able to eat. My parents focused more on working than their education. One day my parents said that they had enough and decided to go to America to have a better future, better job and better education for us. Anyone that wants to come to this country should be able to come in. People who hear the word “immigration” they often think people coming to America to steal “jobs” or to just bring in “drugs”. “Immigrants only come to America to give their family a better future” (Stewart 42). When these immigrants come to america they just want a better future and better education for themselves and family. Immigrants should not get deported for trying to better themselves and family. “Obama enacted an executive order to modify specific immigration legislation to help shield families from deportation. He mandated changed to the 2012 Deferred Action for childhood arrivals (DACA) Policy.” (Haugen). When children are little and they are brought into american illegally it would be very difficult for them just to get an education. Also trying to find a job because no one would wanna hire or accept someone who is an immigrant. They made DACA so it was easier to get an education or even to find a job. There is a lot of people who agrees immigrants should not get deported. “According to those who support a pathway to citizenship, the advantage of such a policy outweigh any disadvantages. A couple of years before the start of the obama presidency” (Haugen). Before the obama presidency the laws were so much different. Also it was easier not having to worry about getting deported. Or just getting caught trying to go grocery shopping. But now immigrants just worry about getting deported when they step foot outside their own
