Vaccinating children has become a hot topic in America today, given our freedom of choice. Most American parents feel that vaccinations are safe, effective ways to protect their children but there are also parents that feel that immunizations are not the best possible way to safeguard their children’s health. The freedom of choice is one of America’s greatest assets, but not immunizing children has caused long forgotten diseases to pop up once again, death and sickness in those too young to be vaccinated and quarantines and isolation due to infectious diseases reappearing. It is extremely important to be properly vaccinated as soon as possible and to not delay or choose to not immunize.
In making a decision to not properly immunize yourself and your children, you are helping to increase diseases such as, measles, mumps, smallpox and diphtheria. During the years that the majority of parents immunized their children the rate of diseases, such as those listed above, decreased to the point that it was almost unheard of in the United States. Due to the vaccine hysteria, which has grown in the past years, more and more parents are choosing not to vaccinate their children.
