Why Guns Are Needed We live in a society today where every year, there are multiple mass shootings across the country. Many blame it on the gun but is that actually the case. Being able to carry makes the public be able to better protect or use their guns for self defense.
Many anti-gun people think that gun control laws will help the community and will make crime rates lower but this is not the case. Chicago is one of the most dangerous states in the U.S. and they are one of the few that have strict gun laws but their crime rates are higher than almost every state. It's not only Chicago but New York as well. This proves that having strict gun laws won't make situations better but only worse on the community. Being able to carry does make people more dangerous but also helps them protect themselves severely more. This benefits the community but also harms it. One way to limit who can carry is to do more background checks in a more detailed order. Banning guns will only increase the amount of illegal purchases on them.
