Reason 1: it would guarantee that more people will be insured, and will lower prices

Howard Schneider, a writer at the Washing Post, states that “The United States ranks 112th out of 122, for example, on the obesity scale. Small, homogenous European nations generally do best – them and Singapore – while large, diverse developed nations generally come next.” What is the cause of this? It is one small simple thing, and that is Healthcare. Poor healthcare is one of the main reasons Americans are unhealthy, obese, and have illnesses, and are so far-ranked. As more people become insured because of government involvement, the prices of healthcare will decrease. According to the article “Obamacare Myth-Making; Five Phony Success Stories”, Jay Cost says, “The CBO’s [The Congressional Budget Office] most recent estimate of premiums show a decline in the rates.” These events cause a chain reaction. As a result of the premium rates decreasing, it creates an increase in the cost of health insurance for Americans. If there was more government involvement, however, Americans with no health coverage would be required to purchase insurance resulting in an increase in the rate of premiums, and lowering healthcare prices. In brief, this method is proven to be correct because mainly all developed countries all around the world have proven it to be effective and
