Subject: Flu Vaccination As requested I have provided information on the Flu Vaccination. The Flu is a very serious and deadly virus. Many people each year get severely ill or even die. The flu vaccination lessens people of all ages from contracting this horrible virus. Hundreds and millions of people each year, for the past 50 years have safely received the flu shot with no issues. It is the best choice on reducing your chances of getting the flu each year. The flu vaccine has been around for many years preventing people from contracting the virus. I understand that there are quite a few people who are either against the flu shot or simply just do not get it. This is one of the main reasons why we have so many people spreading and getting the flu. This vaccine is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Flu season is different every year and the influenza infection can affect people differently. Millions of people get the flu every year, hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized and thousands or tens of thousands of people die from flu-related causes every year. Even healthy people can get sick from the flu and spread it to others. Just because you are a healthy person does not mean you cannot pass it to anyone else. The CDC reported that flu-related hospitalizations since 2010 ranged from 140,000 to 710,000, while flu-related deaths are estimated to have ranged from 12,000 to 56,000. This is because fewer people are getting their flu vaccines. Getting your annual seasonal flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk of getting sick with seasonal flu and spreading it to others. When more people get vaccinated against the flu, less flu can spread through that
