After careful thought and consideration, I am writing this letter to convey my interest to apply for your Post Graduate Year-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency. I was contemplating your program prior to the ASHP Mid-Year Clinical Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana; however, seeing the motivation and drive that your residents possess has solidified my desire to apply for your program.
Pursuing a PGY-1 General practice residency allowed me to obtain the clinical background that I believe is necessary to understand the basics about clinical pharmacy and how to provide effective disease management for patients. It also allowed me to better understand the workflow and the challenges that pharmacists face on a daily basis.
