The next few years of my life are in limbo: college decisions, internship opportunities, and career paths. Uncertainty shrouds every corner and path that is present; however, a clearer path is present under the influence of the summer science program. With so much to be learned, doors to be opened, and faces to meet, guidance and opportunities become apparent, whether research and medicine are what I want to pursue or possibly another
As a Rutgers University – Camden biology graduate, I have experienced first-handedly the benefits of a Rutgers University education. Most obviously, obtaining an education from a nationally reputed school allowed me to obtain a full-time job within three months of graduation. As a past student and employee at Rutgers-Camden, my education and involvement on the campus allowed me to develop and enhance certain qualities that have been vital in my success today as an individual. As a Biology major graduate, my hope has been to eventually enter the medical field as a nurse. I believe that it isn’t just enough to want to help people but that a true nurse has a pretty unique and practical skill set as well.
These internships helped me get an inside perspective of how nurses go above and beyond their everyday duties to ensure patient care, setting a standard for me to go above and beyond in terms of my education, my service to others, and in life. With the changes in college tuition having increased and state support for college students having taken a decrease over the last couple of years, this scholarship would benefit me tremendously in my goals to continue my education.
I stepped onto this campus with aspirations of being a Nurse one day, with dreams of nurturing those in need of my assistance whenever needed, in clinics and hospitals. Nevertheless, one semester later, I see myself studying abroad one day, representing our school in more than just medical settings, and hoping one day I can give back to this school, if it 's in scholarships, research, or knowledge, what they invested in a small Aggie

1) The Age of Insecurity: One of the main ideas explained by Andy Hargraves in chapter 2 is how the society has been suffering diverse situations throughout the 90s and 2000s that began to transform the people's behaviour and ideologies, according to their respective historical periods. For example, in the late 1990s, the knowledge society had the chance to surf the internet to inquire about the numerous websites' information regarding different topics no matter the time, context, etc. Nevertheless, in the 2000s, with the terrible assault on the twin towers transformed the globalization goals where it is supposed that allow the interaction between other cultures to a new one where insecurity took an important part in our behaviour. Dignity, pride, and integrity mean many things to me. What dignity means to me is that I know that if I am one of the few students chosen to be in ASB, I will not abuse this place of honor because I know that ASB is a commitment and an opportunity. What pride means to me is that i will have it for myself. This means that I will give my utmost respect to everyone on campus, including my peers, teachers, principals, janitors, and so on and so forth, so they can feel pride for themselves.
After reading Post University’s civility code, I would have to say that it aligns with my personal and professional community perfectly. As a child, my mom and grandpa raised me to respect everyone and their property, to have integrity, and take responsibility for my actions regardless of the consequences. They taught me that opinions are opinions and it is not my place to force people to agree or share mine. Once I joined the Army it was not hard for me to adapt because my family had already instilled the Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility that it takes to be successful as a soldier.
Selflessness, Genuineness, and Integrity are several traits that best describe who I am. Selflessness is caring about the happiness, health, and success of others; it often involves taking action to serve those around you. My experiences with young children in my church has developed me into becoming a selfless person. I feel a sense of meaning and significance whenever I volunteer to serve those in my church. One time, I was helping out in a Sunday School class; there was a frightened little girl around the age of 2 years old.

C.S. Lewis once said, “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” Although no one is perfect and we, as humans, often make mistakes, does that give us a right to continue to repeat our offense? I can not confess to you how many times I have heard someone brag about cheating to my face. Over and over again these students take the lazy, easy route and get away with the infraction they just admitted to completing. It infuriates me to no end when they acquire the same grade as me and I come to find out they cheated.
The leader should have a clear vision that is capable of being proclaimed effortlessly. This enables them to be able to see into the future, by having a clear direction and compelling objectives of what they want to achieve. With a clear vision a person turns into an exceptional individual that other people trust and follow. This transforms “transactional manager” into a “transformational leader” (Tracy’s blog). Phenomenal leaders are able to go through the emotions of their employees, while managing to get the tasks performed, As articulated by different writers that a vision should be simple, meaningful and a reality (Bennis and Nanus, 1985; Kantabutra, 2009; Kotter, 1996; Kouzes and Posner, 1995; Nanus, 1992; Tichy and Devanna, 1986).
