Over the years there has been numerous contests regarding the development of the human brain, and when it comes to understanding human behavior. According to wikipedia, human behavior refers to the array of every physical action and observable emotion associated with individuals, as well as the human race as a whole. While specific traits of one 's personality and temperament may be more consistent, other behaviors will change as one moves from birth through adulthood. As human beings go through life many are faced with various adversities and tragic events that can and will shape the overall development of human behavior. Certain behaviors are often presented from the aftermath of a particular hardship or event. An individual that is coping may display behaviors eithier good or bad. Fear, anger, excitement and happiness are just a few of the emotions that fall under the class of human behavior.
One well-respected historical event in the evolution of human development is the case of Phineas Gage. In 1848, at the young age of 25, Gage suffered from a traumatic event that later altered his mind and behavior. According to some, Gage became very violent at times and behaved in manner not like his normal self. He was also alledged of molesting children. After exhibiting these behaviors doctors begin to expand thier beliefs on decision-making and the social cognition, these to areas are exemplified in the frontal lobe of the brain. Later Gage died, experiencing convulsions before his death. A lot of Gage rememberance can be found in museums of
