(John F. Kennedy) once said,“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.” When she was in 6th grade her aunt had work at Schultz Chiropractic Center. She would always watch how she treat her patients and she was so amazed of the great massage that she was giving to her patients. The career of a physical therapist is a difficult and big responsibility because the new patients and fixing their strength back. The research will describe the career of a physical therapist, what is required to become successful and the impact this career has on society.

The general duties of a physical therapist is to improve people who have and illness, disability, or injury that affect their ability to move. They give treatment that build their strength, flexibility, and mobility. (Barbara Sheen) have discussed the type of area that physical therapist work in. Physical Therapist work in specific areas such as Orthopedic, Pediatric, Geriatric, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Neurologic, and sports. Physical Therapist can identify these individual by locating them to these areas. These specific areas are real different. Orthopedic are those who work with injuries and disorder of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic is one of the area that is most accurate. Pediatric are those who work with babies, children, and teenagers on the mobile ability. Geriatric are those who work with seniors on weakness of bones, muscles, balance disorder,joint or Alzheimer’s disease. Cardiovascular and Pulmonary are those who work with heart and lung disorders that increase strength , so that they can be able to move. Neurologic are those who work with people that are injured and have a disorders of nervous system. Part of the nervous system that could affect their mobility are cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, sclerosis, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
