Racism: Police Brutality and Racial Profiling

Why is police violence against black people and members of minorities a serious issue? This essay will discuss some of the things that have been established since police brutality became a problem, as well as the reasons why it is such a significant issue in the modern world. I'll also address the reasons for police brutality and what causes it. There are numerous causes for this, but I will just discuss a handful that I believe are significant and deserve more attention. One of the main reasons that police brutality is happening is because of racial discrimination all over the world, and with police officers having certain power some feel as though they can do whatever with people they do not like. It all started when slavery happened in the early 1700s, and black people were a minority for years until slavery was abolished. This is why black people produced the protests that they had back then and now, and why we have movements for black people and black lives. There is no reason as to why racial discrimination became a thing, but it has happened for many decades, and it is still hard to tell and figure out the meaning behind it all and why this even became such a massive thing. Some police officers feel threatened as they approach a car and will have their hands on their weapon if they see there is a person of color, but it does not happen all the time. It is also a problem because police are using extreme or unnecessary force and torture, and there still has not been enough justice for black people and their families. There have been more than 1,000 black people who have died because of police officers since 2020. It came to be a problem back at the beginning of the 1600s when slavery came about and since then black people have always been a target in America and honestly all over the world. After slavery ended it got a little better for black people but of course, there were still some problems that were going on and people still had black people who were their “servants” and had their work for them, but the 13th amendment made sure slavery was ended all over the world. It affects black people the most, and it affects them because some black people have gained so much insecurity and suicidal thoughts because they felt like they were not safe in this world. Black people also face health issues because of discrimination and social conditions they must face on a daily including depression, stress, and a weakened body. Black people are also scared for their lives on a daily because of the things that we go through because of the police and because of the crazy people that we have in this
