Curtis Flowers was working with fireworks as it was around the fourth of July. This could explain the “gunpowder residue” and the shoebox belonging to his girlfriend's son. The two “witnesses” were his cellmates with questionable statements, which they later recounted. This was the evidence that Doug Evans was basing his presumption that Curtis Flowers was the killer. Before the boys ran away to the Church in Windrixville, Johnny Cade was wanted for the murder of Bob Sheldon. Ponyboy was wanted as an accomplice in the murder of Bob Sheldon. Police have sorted through all of the evidence of the scene at the water fountain and through the rubble of the Windrixville Community Church. They have also interrogated multiple witnesses including Cherry Valance and Randy Anderson.
The church fire affected Ponyboy, Johnny and Darry a lot. After Johnny and Ponyboy had rescued the little children who were is the burning church, Johnny did not have the chance to escape himself. Burning timber had fallen on Johnny. Johnny was then taken to the hospital. Before the church fire they were known as criminals, but now they were heroes for saving children in the church fire.
On Sunday, two boys from the east side gang (Greasers), Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade went missing. Neighbors say that on the day of their disappearance, Darry Curtis (Ponyboys brother) was seen slapping Ponyboy. Mrs. Smith a close friend of theirs that lived nearby said "I was actually shocked. One Soc, Bob Sheldon intimidated Cade, and Cade drew a switchblade and stabbed Sheldon, killing him. After Cade murdered Sheldon, he and Curtis fled the crime scene without contacting the authorities. Johnny Cade is guilty of all of this. But
At 10:30 am on February 14th, 1929, seven men were murdered in a garage on the north side of Chicago. These seven men all had an association with the North Side Gang, which was headed by George “Bugs” Moran. Moran was having a truckload of whiskey delivered to the garage at the time, which is why the seven victims were present. Shortly after their arrival, two men dressed as police officers and two unidentified men lined up the victims inside the garage and shot them with Thompson machine guns. The believed target of this attack was George “Bugs” Moran, however, he was running late and was not present.

On November 3rd, 1965, police responded to a call about a murder of a teenage boy at the park, at around 4am The boy that was murdered was Robert "Bob" Sheldon, 18, found near the fountain. After interviewing Bob`s friends, it was found that Johnny Cade, 16, stabbed and killed Bob. It was also revealed that Bob and his 4 other friends that were there are Socs (pronounced Sosh). Socs are enemies with another gang known as Greasers. Johnny and his friend Ponyboy are Greasers.
According to the police report about 200 bullets were scattered on the floor of the warehouse, making this event one of the bloodiest act of gang violence in the 20s. Out of the seven gang members killed, two of them were Moran’s best assassins Frank and Peter Gusenberg. There was only one survivor, Bug Moran. When Moran arrived at the warehouse he saw the four hitmen disguised as police officers enter the building. Expecting it was a raid he left the premises.
On Friday evening, the body of teenager Robert "Bob" Sheldon was found at a park in eastern Tulsa, laying next to a fountain with a knife wound in his abdomen. Further evidence suggests that the Sheldon had been intoxicated. No arrests have been made yet, but police suspect that it was a gang-related crime. Investigators believe that more than one person of each party had been involved as well.
