The industrial revolution in Britain made many people's lives worse in the 18th-19th century. There are several reasons why the revolution made their lives worse. Here are very few of those, poor working conditions, decrease in quality, and exploiting labor. Although in the long run life has gotten a lot better because of the industrial revolution, that was not the case in the 18th-19th century before the full effects of the revolution. We gained a lot because of this time, but the people during the revolution had to go through really hard stuff for life to be how it is now. It's not like they would get any warning either and no support or pay when having to leave. Just the fact that they could lose their job at any given point for no reason would be terrifying. Child labor at the time has got to be mentioned again, employers would use children who were as young as 5 for cheaper work and more profit for them. Kids that should be in school getting an education are forced to work in terrible places for literal pennies, just so the rich employers can get even more money. There are many more reasons why the industrial revolution made people's lives worse during the 18th-19th century, but these are the ones that appeared to stick out the most. There were some bits of good within the madness for sure, but every bright side seemed to have a downside that came along with it. While yes it is possible that in the long run the industrial revolution made people's lives not quite better but easier, at the time of the industrial revolution it made the lives of especially workers nothing but
