In “Smoker’s Get a Raw Deal”, Stanley S. Scott argues that smokers are being discriminated against, and being able to smoke wherever they like is a right that is being taken away. This argument is not effective. One reason is that it is stated at the end of the article that the writer, Stanley Scott at the time was the vice president of the tobacco company Philip Morris. This creates a bias in his argument since he is likely to favor smoking. Which can lead to leaving out certain details in order to sway the readers toward smoking.
Sudan is located in Africa next to Egypt, and it lays on the red sea. It was ruled at the time between 1896-1956. Sudan was at the time a backward, non-technological, simple life before imperialism. It had a lot of rich resources such as oil, natural gas, gold, silver, copper, nickel and agriculture which were the number one goal of any imperialist country. Sudan like any colonized country suffered from a lot of good effects and bad side effects some of them were short term impact and some are long term impact.
When hearing somebody bring up Jewish refugees in the 1930 's some people think of the Holocaust and the Nazis. When hearing someone bring up Syrian refugees in present day some will think about terrorism and ISIS. Think about it, Syrians are in the same spot the Jews were in in the 1930 's, but the Syrians are getting treated much worse. There are many reasons for this.

Haiti is interesting because of its Geography, weather, plants, animals, people and cultures. Landforms Haiti is a beautiful place with palm trees and beaches it is perfect for a holiday.
This hopelessness can lead to stress and illness due to the constant worry of supplying for basic needs. Having this type of outlook can lead to people turning to violence and even suicide as they see no path forward. This type of poverty is very difficult to overcome, especially since it has been ongoing for such a long time. Waking up on the side of the road, an individual realizes that there is only enough money to buy a sandwich for the entire day, no shelter for the night, and no job for financial support. This atrocious situation is known as poverty. Poverty can be explained as people going through an economic crisis, where they lack enough money to be able to obtain health services, food, clothing, housing, and education that is required to ensure a sufficient standard of living. This has become a major problem in Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Although the causes of poverty in Haiti are complex, some major factors are corruption and natural disasters.

"(Silver 2) that being said, there needs to be different as well as more shelters, food banks and whatever more resources someone in need, needs. We need more of certain resources, because the amount we have now are full, for example, shelters get full so quickly that the citizens without homes are stuck to sleep on the street, no matter the weather.
Rwanda is located in East-Central Africa, and is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” It is classified as a low-income country and has extremely low Key Health Indicator statistics. Ranking 50th in worldwide infant mortality rate, having an excess of communicable diseases, and overall poor nutrition, Rwanda has a very long way to go before it can be classified higher on many different scales such as demographic transition, epidemiologic transition, and nutrition statistics. Poverty is universal but does vary within countries, even neighborhoods. According to society poverty is hunger, lack of shelter, not having the ability to see a doctor when necessary and limited education. In third world countries, it is very common for parents to conceive a high number of children as a source of labor. Not only do these kids frequently receive slight or no education, but large families in these countries are the main contributor to global overpopulation. These children are not privileged with the same basic opportunities given to an American child.
In Ghana, eight-year-old Fati lives in pain with the malaria she contracted roughly one year ago. Nevertheless, every day Fati navigates an electronic waste dumpsite to search for tradable metal. And she is not alone. Numerous impoverished boys and girls, teens and pre-teens, pass their days inhaling the toxic air from burning metals, while carbon soot and more toxins are absorbed into or cling onto their skin (Nazario 228 - 234). These children have one similarity: they are each penurious.
