World War 1 was one of the most inclusive and deadly wars in history. The war brought a series if new machines and techniques to warfare. World War 1 was known as the war to end all wars but, sadly it didn’t. The treaty of versailles was not a good plan to ensure peace and prosperity in Europe. When working with children you should not demonstrate anti-discriminatory practice. It’s important that all practitioners work in a fair and inclusive way and ensure that all children have equal opportunities within the setting. Promoting equality within the setting will allow them to develop a self-esteem and become confident in life. They will also feel valued by people and respected even if they are different to others.

All adults working in the school would be : teaching staff, support staff, lunchtime supervisors, kitchen staff, governors, after school staff and temporary staff. So, one of the most effective methods for teaching young kids about diversity is through books. By reading multicultural books with multicultural characters help children learn and love. Many books include plays between the characters, teachers can use these advantages to help children be these multicultural characters and interact as they were in it. Games, and such physical exercises also help children improve not only their literacy skills but also familiarize them with other cultures. Communication is a very important part between children and teacher during the lesson.
Whenever I have an assignment that requires me to go into these classrooms first hand, I never know what to expect, not only from the students but also the teacher. Even though, I have some sort of idea as to what happens in a classroom setting, I was concerned that I would not know how to spot any forms of diversity going on in the classroom. Goals of multicultural education and school climate are a good start when it comes to teaching and learning about diversity or anything of the sort in the classroom. From I have seen in the classroom, multicultural education is not only talking about racism, although that is a big factor when talking about multicultural education.
