The Effects of FFA on It’s Members

FFA develops the lives of students in positive ways by improving and developing their potential through agricultural education. “Today, there are 629,367 FFA members, aged 12‒21, in 7,757 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands”(FFA Membership). Some of the main things that are touched upon would be; the leadership of the individual, their education, and also their career preparation. Members also get to plan and conduct activities with supervision from their advisors. The Tall Corn FFA Chapter puts on a annual cattle show with the Iowa Falls FFA Chapter and all the prepping, final decisions, work, and effort is all due to the FFA members with the guidance of the advisors. Activities and programs from the local, state, and national level like; public speaking skills, conduct and participate in meetings, manage financial matters, strengthen problem-solving abilities and assume civic responsibilities.
