Poverty has been an issue for thousands and thousands of years. Poverty is an issue that affects a lot of people all over the world. Poverty is when a person is poor and can’t afford the standard basic way of living. People suffering from poverty can’t afford to have clean water, proper housing, medical help or can ever be starving. A lot of the times poverty starts when people lose their jobs, after losing their jobs they might lose their home and then start losing everything else. Another thing that can influence poverty would be the country the person is living in could be at war, being at war causes a lot of poverty. Poverty is an all-around issue because it affects their families as well as the individual. It can also cause people to steal because they are desperate to get food and sometimes are even dying of hunger. Having job increases or more opportunities for the people that are facing poverty can help them a lot. How has poverty benefited the rich and affected the poor people in the United States?
