This message allows us to better comprehend the effects of critical thinking and the role it plays in shaping our values. For instance, when we first read a passage from the New York Times we presume that since it’s a well-established firm that anything introduced to us would be of efficient and sincere quality. We tend to not question its contents because of the firm’s credibility or even social influences that would persuade us into considering what they believe.
