When working with students, there is a variety of setting that must take place to create accommodations for students. According to the Preliminary Credential Competency Checklist Instructional Implementation Competencies 4.2 states, the importance of delivering instruction in a variety of setting to help students meet their IEP (p.5). The accommodations in setting to whole group, small group, or one-on-one to give students the needed support to meet their IEP based on the stated accommodations. To create adjustments for students in different setting allows them to focus their attention on the given task by having an adult working with them. Making adjustment in different learning setting is needed for some students to remain focused on a task. In some occasions, students need to be placed in small group to remain on task, because their behavior needs to be monitored to help them to stay on task.
