1) As President, Richard Nixon had a many accomplishment both in domestic and foreign affairs, he launched initiatives to fight cancer and combat illegal drugs, established price and wage controls, and introduced healthcare and welfare reform. Nixon also brought about legislation such as the EPA, OSHA, Clean Air Act and National Environmental Policy Act. These were important pieces of legislation that we still currently use today. The 2 most noteworthy of those acts are the EPA and OSHA. The Environmental Protection Agency was created to protect human health and the environment by writing and enforcing regulations. Israel occupied Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, a peninsula that links Africa with Asia, as a result of the 1967 war. In 1970, the Egyptian president found himself leader of an economically troubled nation that could not afford fight against Israel. He wanted to make peace, but the 1967 victory for Israel, it was unlikely the peace terms would be favorable. Trhush his social prgoams and WWII America clawed its way of the great depression. FDR gave the American peple a new deal. The new deal enacted programs such as medicade, medicare, social secutiry, the concept of a mininu wage, the emergeny banking act, and the federal emergency relifed administration. Thses programs we still use today and sadly my generation might not be able to reap this benefits. The conept of a minmini wage, at the time was highly controversial, but it aided the American people by given the employee some power. Prior to this act, the employer could choose what they wanted to pay, could make you work all day if they wanted. FDR impended this so the ameerican people weren’t slaving themselves, through this act the American people also obtained the 40 hour work
