There are millions of TV shows viewed all over the globe, some being quite interesting but in fact this Paul Scheuring’ ‘Breakin outta prison’ based storyline is out of the ordinary! The show is very diverse with full on characters, while perhaps a bit bizarre at times, tho it provides plenty of nail biting scenes that may tickle your fancy, so jump on the bandwagon for a heads up on how things roll in ‘prisneyland’.

The gloomy, gritty and authentic history of the prison give the show a tinge of spookiness. Seeing a prison in a big city, with a crowd of prisoners could very well intimidate the watcher by the thought of ruthless, hard time criminals lurking around that prison over the past 150 years. Ratner reiterates this aspect of the show by using his superb cinematography skills to capture shots that further sum up how the prison looks, inside and out. A helicopter shot from above sets the scene right before Michael gets locked up, establishing the location, size, and a large cluster of prisoners wandering around. The director also does a nice job of using low angle shots in the prison cells to show how claustrophobic and confined the place is for the inmates, while operating with many close up shots of characters face’s that expose all the emotional feeling and concern they have behind the situation they're in. The great deal of heat when all the camera crew and characters are snuggled up tight in a small prison cell really come out in the characters’ emotions, good and bad. Being in a heated confined space would help actors display frustrated and negative emotions easily, but may also distract them and lower their motivation to act efficiently. However, the way Brett executes his camera shots effectively expand your mind with thoughts & ideas about the show and how actual prisoners would feel inside those walls, while providing valuable and interesting content for the viewers, which keeps them engaged in the series beyond just the intensive storyline and particular
