Both proponents and opponents of illegal immigration hold in contention Hardline views on how to solve the issue. Promoting illegal immigration creates lack of the rule of law, depresses me ages, and destroys culture according to many Americans. On the other hand, some believe that illegal immigration grows the economy, diversifies the population, and introduces a growing population of New workers. Americans historically disagree on the number of legal immigrants and illegal immigrants we should let into this country. In fact, the issue of DACA remains high on the priority list of legislative items. Addressing the most difficult aspect of our immigration system involves discussing unaccompanied minors and Birthright citizenship. These young children we were brought here by their parents illegally. After spending their entire young lives growing up in the United States culture, why should they be ripped away from their homes and sent back to a foreign country they may not know much about? In addition, four children that were born in the United States, why should they be separated from their parents? Their parents should be allowed to stay to raise the children and they should be given an opportunity to receive citizenship as well. Any Humane Society, especially a country with American values should give these children freedom and opportunity. First and foremost, American values lie in our immigrants. America was founded on our immigrants and we should accept them into our culture. Secondly, undocumented immigrants provide a huge boon for the United States economy. Studies by the Center for American progress estimate that providing legal status for undocumented immigrants would increase the income for all Americans to approximately 470 billion dollars.
