Process Diary: Alisha Chau
26/7 - Ms Camps put us into groups by drawing out our names. She then explained the task to us. We then split into our groups. We chose what experiment we were going to do which is” Does heart rate increase more with running or skipping in one minute?”
28/7 - Dr Crane explained the task again in more detail and gave us a few ideas on what to do. We split our part 2 questions between us. So we each do the same amount of questions.
03/8 - Today we picked a different experiment, discussed how running and skipping would increase our heart rates and went through what materials we would need to accurately measure our task. We discussed how we were going to do question 7. We also started to do the questions. We left the

We will measure how fast our heart is beating using the heart monitor, to measure our heart rates accurately, we place our index finger on the flash light part of the phone. The flash coming out of the phone is a radio signal that is measuring how many beats per minute our heart is beating.
The risks and precautions we are aware of are: you can scratch yourself whilst skipping (eg; your hand, your legs, your arms, your face) a you might trip over the rope and scrape your knees or hands on the ground.
For skipping you need to avoid being near walls, curves you need to make sure that there are no objects underneath you while you are jumping.
A running risk could be that you may trip over your own foot or shoe laces.
You could be running too fast, therefore you may run into wall or into a curve.
METHOD :
Step 1 : Ask someone to skip or run for one whole minute
Step 2 : Once they stop, measure their heart rate
Step 3 : Record result down in table
