This Technological Needs Project Proposal is for the Lake Placid Central Medial Facility (LPCMF) who provides healthcare within Lake Placid County. We are planning to update and streamline the clinical and administrative systems to improve quality of care, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness. LPCMF has acknowledged the need for increasing client and family enablement by providing tools for secure client and family access to health information within a wide variety of public and private settings. The EHR will decrease paperwork and do away with paper patient charts, while also securely providing a means to share information to all providers within the network. The biggest key to success is the commitment of people, those that are directly involved within the practice and patients. Their participation in the evaluation and enactment will confirm that the patients' information needs are considered and addressed. LPCMF will utilize focus groups, planning meetings, teleconferences, and electronic communication process for effective communication. LPCMF will hold assessment meeting with the LPMF staff, IT staff and contractor IT staff to discuss the structure, vision, priorities and needs of the project. Town halls meetings will be held to ensure that the community is aware that LPCMF will be changing over to the EHR system, to gain support from the local community. LPCMF will hold a Kick-Off meeting and Presentation of the IT Assessment Plan with all County and contractor stakeholders. A stakeholder analysis will be performed. The stakeholder management plan which is a subsidiary plan of the project management plan will be used to define the processes, procedures, tools, and techniques that will be used to effectively engage stakeholders in the project decisions, and execution based on the analysis of their needs, interest, and potential impact on the
