Dear Mr Fitzgeraled Throughout the foundation of the college many factors and strategies have been put in place to highlight the importance of health at St Mary’s, yet only when focus is drawn to the physical health of the overall college it is seen to be slightly overlooked and less directly targeted towards. The importance of prioritising the girls' health at St Mary's (SMC) all stems from the education of the girls knowing how to maintain their physical health which decreases the risk of developing conditions of lifestyle diseases, for example; heart disease (cardiovascular disease), lung infection (pneumonia). As an asset, a nurse can address immediate care of minor injuries and illnesses which occur during regular school days, such as cuts, sprains, headaches, which in response would gain higher attendance of students instead of girls leaving early unless necessary to reduce spread of germs and keep students focused on learning. Continuing an idea of education, a SMC nurse would play a crucial role in educating students about healthy habits like, exercise, because according to Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, “In 2017–18, just over 1 in 10 (11%) 15–17 year olds were sufficiently active (including workplace activity) for their age, while just over 1 in 6 (16%) met the recommended muscle strengthening activity guidelines”.Therefore with the use of organised workshops, presentations or health activity to promote a healthy lifestyle and prevention of disease such as CVD. Furthermore, a SMC nurse could play a crucial role in early detection of lifestyle diseases, through initial signs and symptoms appearing in people with irregular patterns, by a way of long term motoring it would be possible to identify such styles and determine a risk of the disease before the actual appearance of it. As well as the nurses ability to help with the management of these lifestyle diseases with young girls, for effective control by maintaining the variations of needs for all different lifestyle diseases. Moreover, the benefit of having a nurse as a heavy assist for the overall wellbeing of the college would prove to be a rescore used towards the benefit for SMC girls education and
