1. Health promotion to me is a holistic approach which combines education to implement or support needs of a community. An example would be a goal for a community to increase it number of older adult who receive a flu vaccine. Through an educational clinic could provide information on the vaccine and could provide vaccines at low or little cost. It gives people in the community or population the ability through education to make their own informed decisions and this empower the community. Health promotion is the broader term used when compared with health education.
