· Allow Veterans to See Any Doctor Outside of the VA I chose this choice because I want to make sure that the veterans get the care they need. Due to the reports that there are veterans that do not receive the care they need from the VA because of the long wait list; this choice will allow veterans to see doctors outside of the VA. As a result, it will increase the government spending by $560 billion dollars and increases the national debt by 7% in the long-term due to the extended funding. The benefit of this option is that the veterans will have dependable services. but, the disadvantage of this is, the doctors from the private hospitals would be paid according to the operations they do. so, the more complicated the operations and the treatment the veterans need, the higher the operating cost would be (Pros and Cons of Privatizing Veterans Health Care, n.d.).
