Abolish the Death Penalty One month ago in Arkansas, four people were sentenced to death by three lethal injections, which was about to expire. They did not get their court affair, which they are entitled to by the U.S. Constitution. Can you imagine if something so horrific happened to you or to somebody you care deeply about? This is a prime example why the death penalty should be abolished completely. The death penalty should be written as an illegal law because it is very expensive, irrelevant in many states, and it is against many religious beliefs. To begin with, the death penalty is highly expensive and irrelevant in many states. The injection by which they used to execute people is costly. Sentencing people to death is extremely cruel because the three lethal injections (pentobarbital, pancuronium bromide, and potassium chloride) are taking a person’s life away and are extremely agonizing. Adding on, setting people to death is unfair, especially when the criminal has or had a mental disability that they do not have the physical ability to control (“Death Penalty Facts”). Many others had clouded judgement at the time of the crime, and didn’t process what action they were about to execute (“DPIC”). In life, everybody makes decisions that they are not proud of, especially when they weren’t thinking in their regular state of mind.
