As for the racial inequalities, it is worth mentioning that it was the matter of great concern for the black population; despite the fact they deserved to have same human rights, it still appeared impossible goal for this category of people that the dominating whites considered as inferior to them. The race issue could be solved in case the government were interested in settling on a solution to it. All in all, white people were not intended to acknowledge the human rights of black citizens. All this has lead to bloody massacres, discrimination, and humiliation of the black population. The thing is that they did not want to alter the social system, since the concept of racial disparity was a part of their mentality. However, the time has brought long-awaited changes to American social order. Affirmative action appeared to be effective in terms of holding the respective institutions that are in charge of any declaration of discrimination. Moreover, not only white people are actively hired, which means that the barrier of the blacks is removed (Fullinwider, 2010). On the other hand, from the perspective of social contemplation, affirmative action was believed to avoid collisions between minorities and the rest of the population. As a result, the suggestion that affirmative action had many downsides emerged in the public mind.
