Pros And Cons Of Being A Wallflower

There are two reasons as to why this was the book for my summer reading project. The lesser one being that there was a movie of it out. Another reason, and what influenced me the most was the title. The novel told the story of a Wallflower. In all the stories I have read so far in my lifetime, the protagonists were never solitary people like Charlie. They were all at least somewhat sociable and made friends despite their situations. Compared to them, Charlie seemed pathetic. Which made me wonder what the perks of being like him were. Even though my personality is similar to his, I was intrigued. Based on the reviews I had seen people give it, and how often people refer to it I hoped that I was going to enjoy it. However, it was quite the opposite.
