However, forensic science has been pointed to as a contributor to miscarriages of justice since as long ago as the Dreyfus case. The Dryfus case or the “Dryfus affair” was a political scandal that divided France until it was resolved in 1906. It started with the treason conviction of Captain Alfred Dreyfus, a young French artillery officer of Alsatian and Jewish descent. Biotechnology is the manipulation of living organisms and their components to produce useful products for humans. This new technology is shocking and impressing the world than ever before through movies, TV shows and video games. As the world grows, this new technology is starting to become more useful day after day. An excellent example of the use of this technology can be seen in the movie Jurassic World. In the movie, they used many different types of biotechnology like PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) to copy fragments of the dinosaur’s DNA, and genetic engineering to give it certain traits not common in all species of dinosaurs.

Before Vincent Freeman was born, his younger brother- Anton, was genetically modified to be tall, strong, and have no possible diseases(GATTACA).
