People value things much more if they pay for it, that’s why College tuition shouldn’t be free in the whole United States because of the following reasons: students will take advantage of the given opportunity, we already help and continue to help students going through financial problems, and the United States is in a lot of debt already with that having free college will cost a lot more to do it. The government has already considered this topic in Obamas plan called Americas College Promise, but it failed because most of the officials didn’t really support his plan. It’s the student’s fault, for not being prepared for their future. Meaning Students should plan early, with all the options they can choose from, to any college that has their major. If the student knows that they’re going to have trouble paying for college tuition, they should plan early before it’s too late. By starting early Students can get or apply for jobs, start saving money preventing them from being in debt and by getting a job can certainly help rather than not doing anything. Many high school students don’t have jobs and that’s a perfect age to get a job and start saving money for important stuff. Not many people are exactly supportive on paying more taxes, when most people already struggle to pay for taxes, the middle class at least. It wouldn’t be fair to raise the taxes on anybody or take away from the military’s budget. People who don’t even have kids in college will still have to pay, a huge argument could happen. There’s already a lot to pay for, while America is struggling to pay for their trillion dollar debt.
