Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are releases into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain. It can be extremely harmful to forest. It seeps into the ground and takes the nutrients, such as magnesium and calcium. This allows the tree have lack of nutrients so that they become unhealthy. Acid rain also causes aluminum to be released into the soil, which makes the trees difficult to take up water. Acid rain can also influence the destruction of monuments made up of brickwork or marbles. Beside acid rain, the other environmental disorder that caused by fossil fuel is smog. Joanna M.
