The Virginia plan is a draft in the Article of Confederation, an proposal by James Madison. Because Virginia is such a large state, it needed 2 houses of the house of representatives to determined the proportions of the populations meaning there should only be House of Representatives with no Senate when it comes to decision making. On the other hand for the New Jersey Plan its the other way around, due to the smaller population of New Jersey, all representation where equal to other states. So for New Jersey plan there would be Senate but there wouldn't be any House of Representatives. To summarize the Virginia plan and the New Jersey plan, the Virginia would involve the House of Representatives but not Senate and for New Jersey plan
Redmond Peiro Ms. Smith Maryland State Constitution Paper 9 February, 2016 In the months preceding the American Revolution, a convention was held in Annapolis between a number of Maryland’s most powerful men in which to discuss the development of a new government. In addition to this, they sent representatives to the Continental Congress to finalize pre-war preparations. On July 3, 1776 the convention agreed that a new group was to be created to draw up their first state constitution as the old ad hoc government structure was considered inadequate. “That all government of right originates from the people, is founded in compact only, and instituted solely for the good of the whole.”
Virginia Plan was a proposal for a strong national government with a bicameral legislature and a President chosen by the national legislature. The New Jersey Plan was a proposal for a unicameral legislature with equal representation for each state and a President chosen by Congress. The Great Compromise, also known as the Connecticut Plan, was a compromise between the Virginia and New Jersey Plans that established a bicameral legislature with representation based on population in the House of Representatives and equal representation in the Senate, and a President elected through an electoral college. The pros of the Virginia Plan included the creation of a strong national government and representation based on population.

He suggested in accordance to the wishes of the committee that the national government should be created and that it should consist of a supreme legislative, Executive and Judiciary. There were two major plans for government submitted by the states: the Virginia plan- A.K.A the Large States plan, and the New Jersey Plan- A.K.A the Small States Plan. The Virginia Plan was made to specifically benefit the large, slave-holding, southern states. It called for a bicameral legislature which would take a state’s population into account when selecting the number of senators and representatives for a state. This would have given massive power to the southern states which had large populations due to slaves as opposed to the free, northern states. In reply to this was the New Jersey Plan, which was unicameral and gave equal representation to each state regardless of population.
I believe that the Virginia plan is much wiser than the New Jersey plan because it was proportional, or corresponding in size, to the population in state. The best plan is this one because it has two legislative houses (Bicameral), the Senate and the House of Representatives. We each get to vote for the representatives we want. The New Jersey plan only has one Legislative house (unicameral) and it only gets one vote for each state this is what deprived the smaller states from equality. The New Jersey Plan had so many disagreements that it had to appoint a “grand committee” and then it was known as the Great Compromise (An agreement between two or more sides in which each side gives up what some of what it wants).
The Virginia plan was the first proposal that was largely created by James Madison creating a strong system that had a two house legislature, a chief executive chosen by the legislature, and a court system. The lower house was largely elected by the people. The people in the lower house then elected the people in the upper house. The people that were elected were the ones who then chose the ones who chose the person in the upper house. He also came up with the checks and balances which were very important for Madison was more of a federalist than an anti-federalist.
The minimum wage in Virginia should be increased to reflect the cost of living within the State. The number of working poor are increasing. There are minimum wage jobs available throughout the state, however earned wages are not sufficient to allow for a manageable quality of life. The current minimum wage in Virginia is $7.25 per hour, in keeping with the Federal Minimum Wage rate of the same amount.
There are similarities and differences in the Virginia and Maryland colonies .They both used agriculture, had slave societies, and had representation governments. But they certain crops they planted , how their social structures were and the assemblies in government were different. Agriculture was the main source of money for Virginia and Maryland. Plantations in both colonies had good soil for planting.
In every state under the American flag off road vehicles (ORV’s) are taken through dirt, sand, clay, silt, mud, and rocks every single day whether it be legal or not. Off road vehicles are vehicles specifically designed to thrive in rough, unrefined terrain whether it be at off road racing, rock crawling, or just a trail ride to get their tires dirty, over time it has become an increasingly popular recreational sport and activity. Illegal off-roading occurs as a result of not having enough legal areas to pursue it at. Although there are plenty of off-road parks it seems that there are too few to sustain people’s desires to go explore. Off road parks and trail systems only have so much to offer and many times they take several hours to drive

Should the age limit for driving be raised for teens in america? I believe that the age limit should be raised, because I believe the driving age limit should be raised to 18, because young drivers under 18 gets involved in many car accidents and the american statistics shows that they are, also younger drivers tend to get irresponsible on the road when they get their license. young drivers under 18 get involved in many fatal crashes. First of all, they become very distracted on the road the statistics shows that younger teen mind is not fully developed, “in 2008 12% (5,864) of the drivers involved in fatal crashes (50,186) were young drivers 15 & 20 yrs old”. i have seen many times on tv or school videos where they play many scenarios
