Did you realize that the population increases at an estimated rate of about 80 million per year, which causes significant demand on housing worldwide. With that being said, as the population grows the prices of housing has been increasing dramatically. This has caused an enormous concern for thousands of people trying to find a solution to affordable housing. One great solution to this issue would definitely be to create more efficient homes and more inexpensive ways to manage them.
First and foremost, we can start by buying public land fields and building smaller homes with cheaper prices on them. Buying these lands would benefit the lower-income group of people who truly need them. According to The Washington Post, “The District, Arlington and Fairfax are already onto this tip; they have begun scouring any land available to look for places to build housing that would be affordable for those making less than 60 percent of the area median income.” But if we consider re-imagining other lands also that aren’t vacant this would benefit many more and truly make a big difference. …show more content…

Therefore, this is a serious issue that needs to be solved as soon as possible.
