The political view on Hydraulic Fracking is very difficult, government officials have to weigh out the economic and health outcomes which can sometimes become very nerve wracking. It is obvious that politicians can never please everyone in this world. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were unable to prosecute Hydraulic Fracking operations which were under the Safe Drinking Water Act. The companies were able to practice the term Haiburton Loophole which was named after the very first company to legally practice Fracking. EPA unsuccessfully opened and closed possible cases to expose the dangers of Hydraulic Fracking. Continuing to pursue Hydraulic Fracking is ethically harming the health of not only humans but living organisms in general that depend on clean oxygen for survival. Even though natural gas releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, it is not as harmful as coal and oil distribution. It does not technically make it ethically alright for it still very harmful to our environment. Hydraulic Fracking leads to political extortion to economic connections to corporations and businesses which leads to information being misinformed. The toxic waste being released is also wrongfully killing wildlife and making our animals ill. Humans need oxygen and water for survival, the toxins of Hydraulic Fracking is contaminating not only the water but also the oxygen from what we as humans breath from (The Ethical Issues of Hydraulic Fracturing, 2013). The environmental risk factors of Hydraulic Fracking are that the water used to Fracking has been nonrenewable water due to the massive toxins in the water which have demolished water streams and ruin landscapes. American citizens continue to grow defenseless as federal government stand by.
