Prometheus was a good Titan. Unlike any of the gods of Olympus, he did not sit in the clouds all day drinking nectar and listening to the lyre. Instead Prometheus had spirit of action and loved to think about the how to make the future better. So he chose to dwell on earth, to help humanity progress and become wiser.

There’s something about the literal sea of mystery, that incredibly vast unknown that fascinates us and appeals to our inquisitive nature and insatiable lust for knowledge. For millennia, mankind has sailed the seas in search of treasure, monsters, and adventure (although the first two haven’t always been found, the third is almost always obtained). Despite the fact our nautical technology is the best that it has ever been, the human race has explored less than five percent of the ocean and it is unlikely that we will scrape double digits any time soon. Did you know that the United States may run out of fossil fuels as soon as the year 2060? Renewable energy are forms of the sun, wind, and water while nonrenewable energy are forms of coal, oil, and gas. In this essay I will be explaining to you about renewable and nonrenewable energy. First, let’s look at nonrenewable energy. Fossil fuels are easier to transport, store, and use than most other fuel sources.
How does it Work? Electric power is produced when the blades move by the wind, more like a windmill. The speedier and consistently the wind will blow, the more electricity will be produced. The generated electricity is ‘plugged-in’ via inverter into your home’s standard mains supply.
Using wind as a source of energy requires installation of intensive machines and capital. As such, the initial cost is very high as compared to the cost of using fossil fuels. However, the price is only high when installing the capital and thus the cost of producing energy using wind declines over time. Similarly, fossil fuel cost may seem low as compared to the initial expenses of installing capital for wind energy. This is not the case because the cost of fossil fuels is in most cases influenced by the state of global economy.
As of right now, scientists are predicting fossil fuels will run out in 53 years. Therefore we should start turning to renewable energy. For Waunakee, Wisconsin I think we should turn to Wind Energy, Wind Mills, and Wind Turbines. If you live in Waunakee you would know that there are giant wind turbines already on the west side of Waunakee. The wind turbines provide energy for some of Waunakee.
Democracy was often viewed by many who saw it as akin to anarchy and mob rule even as late as the nineteenth century. The following revolutions and rebellions were influenced greatly by these events in history. Even with the cruelty and its ultimate failure, it could be argued that the goals and events of the French Revolution is still relevant in modern society and has a large influence in future democracy with their goal of overthrowing government for equality and showcasing the dangers of mob rule.

Humans have even discovered many new methods that have been developed to financially help our economy from the abundance of oil underneath the ocean floor. The search for oil is vital for the economic future of many nations. However, risks and consequences often faced in coastal ecosystems and on the mainland are powerful, and could later lead to bigger problems humans have to face; such as less food from interruptions in the food chain, higher gas prices, and not being able to enjoy the oceans and coasts, like we do today.
It is commonly known throughout human history that the energy used is burned from coal which creates biomass. During the Industrial Revolution, coal was an essential need to everyone, hence the discovery of oil as a substitute. Yet, the mass formation from the unearthing of oil causes more damage than benefits for the planet. Humanity had never seen a more compatible source in which came a higher demand for oil. As the public has urged to generate more oil, scientists theorized that fossil fuels will eventually run out, making way for a renewable energy route in the future (Mason).
Should we pursue alternate energy sources? I feel that we should pursue alternate energy sources. It would stop pollution and global warming from happening so sudden, as we have it currently in our generation. Using renewable energy means that we will never run out of the energy we need.
Firstly, ocean waves contains a huge amount of energy that can be captured. With the huge mass and density of water, ocean waves has a very high potential of providing large amount of energy. When compared to other renewable sources such as wind energy, the kinetic energy in wave energy is estimated to be 1000 times larger than that of wind energy. This also allows it to use much less space for similar output of power in comparison to wind power. In US, certain locations of the coast has been estimated to be able to provide over 2000 TWh/yr.

Energy is simply the capacity to do work. Energy has become one of the necessities of our modern life. Energy can have many forms like heat, electrical, chemical, nuclear, light, etc. In the pre historic era fuel wood was the major sources of energy. Conventional energy sources are the ones that have been using so far to fulfill most f our daily energy requirements of cooking, lighting, transportation etc.
What happens is that since the air on the land takes less time to heat up than the air on the ocean, the warm air on the land starts to rise and expand. As the warm air rises the cold air flows into its place as, hence creating a flow of air, which is wind. During the night the opposite happens. The air on the land cools down faster than the air on the water, the same process occurs and wind is again created, meaning that a wind turbine can be used day and night. The only necessary condition for wind turbines to work is that there is wind, which turns the blades.
