A medical insurance policy has many advantages to the health of both high and low-income earners. Health insurance policies are based on the principle that one may unexpectedly feel unwell, or may be diagnosed with chronic diseases unexpectedly. The sickness may require tender care and expensive medications, yet an individual may not be prepared financially. In such cases, the medical insurance that covers such an individual will come to finance their medication, which may be expensive at the moment of illness.

What is an insurance policy? Medical insurance is an agreement between an insurance company and a person who wishes to safeguard their health. It is more of a contract where the policy-holder pays monthly premiums. The money the policyholder pays will be used as the security for their medication in case they become unwell.

The Affordable Care Act or otherwise referred to as Obamacare of 2010 in the United States has seen the number of medically insured people rapidly rise. Furthermore, the initiative of the World Health Organization to sensitize people to have medical insurances has significantly risen the number of people with health insurances.
