From what the documentary displayed, the military seems to obsess over the concept of keeping these sexual assault cases muted from the media and the rest of the nation. The military seems to be in fear of receiving a negative image by being known as the occupation of where women are raped and by those terms they seek to conceal this issue. As the awareness of these sexual assaults rise, women who are planning to join the military are provided with a negative opinion due to the lack of justice being served and the fear of being sexually assaulted. Despite the benefits that our nation’s soldiers receive, there is no incentive for women to join the military due to the multiple occasions that sexual assault occurs in our military branches.
