Psychologists in all other states are still currently trying to push for them to be able to prescribe medications.
There are many arguments on why psychologists say they should be able to prescribe medications. One argument is that giving them this right would be better for patients. They also argue that this addition task of prescribing medicine could be vital to the future of the profession.
