Let’s break out the tar and feathers, because we’re talking about the Sons of Liberty! The Sons of Liberty were a group of affluent, substantial men who started the revolution, that leads to the creation of America. They were the heroes that gave the common man a voice against Britain’s taxation. They were a significant factor in creating our remarkable country. The Sons of Liberty believed in democracy and liberty.
Americans decided to fight for their independence in 1776 because they were being treated unjustly by Great Britain. To begin, the British passed hefty taxes in the thirteen colonies to help pay off their war debt. First, colonists were brought into British conflicts. After
“Sons of Liberty were very active throughout the colonies.” Things started getting aggressive when the british soldiers enforced the customs of the law and stamp act. Every time the british enforced a new tax, tax collectors had to pay the price by getting tarred and feathered, Mmm,yea that sucks.
However, there was a severe disconnect between the freedom they fought for and the freedom the state legislatures applied within the colonies. Through their harsh treatment and pushing out of the Native Americans it is evident that the colonists’ had no regard for the freedom of the people they are pushing out. The persistence of slavery within the colonies is contradictory to their blasphemous claim of enslavement by the British. Finally, the oppression of both women and the lower class suggests that the Patriots were fighting for the principle of freedom but had no intention of implementing freedom within the colonies. The propertied men’s fight for freedom is hypocritical to their actions because there is no implementation of freedom as one would assume a colony fighting for freedom would have.

The Colonists were able to win the war through a multitude of things, including; the alliances they gained, the influence of the minorities such as women and Indians, the ideas of federalism versus confederation, and the growth of the democratic spirit. The Colonists gained alliance with the French and the Spanish in hopes to conquer the British and gain their freedom. The women and the Indians were two separate forces that influenced the Colonists to push on in the war, through completely different methods of motivation. The Articles of Confederation helped structure America as a confederation, however, this did not work out, and through slight modifications, these articles became the backbone of the American Federal Government. really wanted to gain independence from Great Britain. There were some people in the U.S. called loyalist that wanted to live under the tyranny of Great Britain and had no problems with the raising of taxes to support their country. The Patriots on the other hand were very much against all that the British stood for. The battle of Lexington and Concord, the battle of Trenton, and the battle of Yorktown were three key battles won by the U.S. that pushed the outcome of the war in the favor of the United States. The battle of Yorktown was the most significant it was the last major battle on land and with the surrender of Lord Charles Cornwallis it was very pivotal in the defeat of the British.
Nearly all factors to win the war favored Britain, except for two. First, the American’s had just beaten the British in the American Revolutionary War and gained independence from them, so, they believed they could take on the English again. Second, in both wars, Britain had been fighting France, who was trying to take over Europe.
During the American Revolution, there were two ends,the American Patriots who were willing to fail horrendously for adaptability, and the English Supporters who were prepared to pass on for their Ruler. The major driver that the American Patriots expected to seclude from the English was in light of the fact that they were exhausted from the unfeeling and out of line regulating given by the English. They said the English were being unfeeling and unmerited, for example, forcing charges with no political advantage. Close by this reason, there are various more factors that drove the American Patriots to leave Britain.
Andrew was a strong believer of what they stand for and always participated in their meetings and peaceful protest. The Sons of Liberty started only about a few months ago, however they are already playing a major role in battling against the Stamp Act. They take the protests of the British taxes to the streets, where they burn decks of cards, newspapers, magazines, and legal documents. The Sons of Liberty use intimidation to get the tax collectors to quit their jobs. Not only has the Sons of Liberty taken action, but so has others colonists.
The sons of liberty are horrible people because they don't follow the rules. They try to make a war against england but they don't want to participate in it. So that means that the innocent people will have to fight and die against the greatest army on earth at the time The british regulars.
Benjamin Franklin was writing a cartoon that was distributed to the colonial union. "Join or Die" was the message that Ben Franklin communicated hoping he could scare the colonists into joining the union. He said this hoping
Also the Declaration of Independence caused the war by angering the British in 1776. I strongly agreed with this document that gave us freedom but the British did not sadly. So I joined Washington to fight the war. I remember when we had victories at the early wars like at Princeton and Trenton which gave me as well as other soldiers hope for winning more battles.
By the end of the war, the loyalty that the Colonies had to England was gone. Before the war the Colonist would 've done anything for Britain and would fight till the death for them. This could be seen for the many wars that the Colonist aid England in even though they didn’t why they were fighting. In Document C, George Washington wrote a letter to Robert Orme showing his dying love to be in service for General Braddock and the British empire quoting, “ believing a more favourable opportunity cannot offer, than to serve under a Gentleman of General Braddock’s abilities and experience”. Serving for British could have one of the most honorable thing that the Colonist could have done.
Seeing how most of the descendants were from Britain, it makes sense these loyalists obeyed Britain and were afraid to veer off on a different path. The last factor ends with the French and Indian War. The Americans and the British teamed up together to fight the French. The land was too valuable, and if the French won, they would have lost valuable imports. After winning the French and Indian war, the two countries felt a sense of unitement.
