The Great Compromise keeps a stable and equal system between the United States government but the 27 amendments of the Constitution is what gives the United States citizens equal rights. There a select few that affects the United States in a positive way such as the 19th, 15th, 13th, 1st and 26th. The 19th amendment was ratified on August, 18 1920 this amendment reserves women suffrage rights During this time women were just getting into the working field because of WW1 women had to take on the jobs that were classified as “work for men”. Since then the roles of when started change. Since women were working and no longer housewives they thought they deserve the same right as men to vote. Without this amendment the world would be completely different today, most likely if this amendment wasn't passed the roles for women would have never changed without this amendment there will be a negative impact because of this nothing should be changed because the united states is all about equality so this …show more content…

Lastly there is the 26th amendment that was ratified March 1971 establishing the right for citizens 18 and older the right to vote. During this time the legal age to vote was 21 but then since world war 2 was happing president Franklin D. Roosevelt sought it fit that since people are considered an adult at the age of 18 in the United States they should be able to vote. If we didn't have this amendment it wouldn't be such a bad thing and things today would be that different but it is an addition to the constitution giving the right to vote when you become a legal adult in the United
