During 1163 through 1345 Europe had many architectural advancements, such as the Gothic Cathedral and the Notre Dame. According to the Gothic Cathedral document in Universities and Cathedrals it states,”Common features of gothic cathedrals included architectural innovations, including: large columns, high ceilings with ribbed vaults, flying buttresses, and large stained glass windows.” This quote supports that Europe was not in a dark age because it shows how many architectural innovations were made during this time period.
The first reason the Dark Ages were not as dark as the name claims for them to be, is because during the Dark Ages there were tons of advances in education. The war was eventually brought to an end with the British suffering a major defeat in Yorktown during the fall of 1781, and the

The age of Faith couldn't be the best because the church manipulated their followers. The Golden Age also couldn't be the best because all the good things came from something bad. The church acted as a good distraction and form of security from chaos, but it had bad intentions. As a result, the medieval period is also known as the Dark
The Crusades were expeditions done by the Roman Catholic Church in alliance with Middle-Age Kingdoms and Empires. There were a total of nine Crusades during the period of 1095 to 1291, led by Saladin, Richard I "the Lionheart" of England, Pope Urban II, Frederick I the Holy Roman Emperor, etc. At first, the Crusades were a way to fight back the Muslims for their conquest of Jerusalem. From the beginning of the day, maybe even the night before I had set one goal for myself; to ride the tallest roller coaster there. With that in mind, let me get to the actual story.
