Everyone in the world has to have thought about being healthier at least once in their life. But how? There are so many diets and options to choose from, which is the right one? That’s what three articles I read today had me realize, what diet is healthier? Vegan, meat eating, or the paleo diet? Vegans may eat more dietary fibers, but they can also be lead to malnutrition. Meat eaters may have less of a chance to get nutrient deficiency, but they also aren’t as healthy. That just leaves the paleo diet, which is in fact the healthier choice to go since it has many less downfalls to a person’s health.

You may be thinking, “what’s the difference in these diets? Why is the paleo diet healthiest?” Well, the paleo diet goes back to a very old time period, the time of the cavemen. If you follow the Paleo diet, it won’t feel like you’re being restricted to eat whenever you please. All you have to do is eat food that is a little more simple than the complex meals that you buy from the store. To agree with my point, Dr. Cordain from the article “The paleo diet: Should you eat like a caveman” states, “The paleo diet consists of meat from grass-fed animals, fish, fruit, vegetables, eggs, nuts, seeds and olive oil, along with plant-based oils such as walnut, flaxseed, avocado and coconut. The diet forbids grains, cereals, legumes (such as beans and peanuts), potatoes, salt, dairy products, processed foods and refined sugars. “The idea is to try and mimic the food groups that our ancestors ate before the advent of agriculture,” Cordain says.” This means that yes, there are a few preventions from eating your favorite snacks, but maybe the reason why we evolved to where we are today is because the way we ate kept us alive and healthy
