In PS 205, the class has learned the importance of conducting studies that are reliable and valid. Self-reporting scales are useful measuring psychological constructs
Purpose of new scale : to generate a new scale and quantify he reliability and validity of that scale
We predict that it would gae good internal reliability and high correlation with the big 5 extraversion scale and no correlation with the social desirability scale

Once the survey was generated each class member was assigned to find 3 random participants. The sample was made up of a total of 42 participants. 35% of the participants where males, 64% where females, and none of the participants identified as nonconforming. 88% of the participants where native …show more content…

The survey asks participants to indicate whether they agree with the statements on a sliding scale from SD (strongly disagree) to SA (strongly agree). Cronbach’s alpha was .768. The questions where geared to be positively answered by extroversion personalities or negatively answered by introversion personalities. Allowing an equal amount of options for both personalities. The scoring for this survey ranged from SD = -2, D = -1, N = 0, A = 1, SA = 2. For questions geared towards introverted personalities the scores where reversed SD = 2, D = 1, N = 0, A = -1, SA = -2
