Psychograph - Men Male Amazon shoppers (both FE men and Basic) are stable individuals who are happy with their lives. They are family-oriented men who value financial stability and extremely time-conscious. They value efficiency and productivity in their everyday life. As a result, they are much more tech-savvy than the general population. They incorporated technology into their everyday life, and agree that the Internet has completely changed the way that they plan, and work. Reflected by their interest in hi-tech, they are also less afraid of taking risks, and traveling the unbeaten path. While both groups appreciate comfort and function in clothing, Basic women have a stronger preference. They don’t follow celebrity trends (41%), or read fashion magazines for inspirations (80%). Because they are not too concerned with being a trend setter, they are not easily persuaded by outside factors. Basic women’s shopping behavior is very much driven by convenience and necessity. They prefer quality basics that they can wear over and over. They are purpose-driven shoppers who simply want to purchase things on their need list (58%). They don’t consider shopping as a social experience, preferring to shop alone. While price is an important factor, they will not sacrifice convenience or ease over pricing—which means they will not research extensively or travel to outlet stores for the best price.
